HFTG05 - Capitals and Kungfu

Highlights: Beijing, Xi’an, Luoyang, Shaolin, Shanghai.

Itinerary

Day 01: Beijing

Arrive in Beijing met and transfer to hotel, overnight in Beijing. Beijing is the nation’s spiritual heart of China with a population over 12 million.

 

Day 02: Beijing (B.L)

After breakfast, tour to the world’s largest plaza-Tian’anmen Square, Forbidden City, and imperial Summer Palace, Visit the Temple of Heaven  

a holy place where the Emperor pray for good harvest in the ancient times.

 

Day 03: Beijing (B.L)

A memorable day excursion combines a visit to the soul-stirring Great Wall (with cable car), winding dragon-like across northern China and the Ming Tombs guarded by sculpted stone animals both real and fabulous, Cloisonné factory. Enjoy the Kongfu show (Optional) in the evening.

 

Day 04: Xi’an (B.)

Take flight to Xi’an in the morning. XIAN is the ancient capital city for 11 dynasties and cradle of Chinese civilization. Visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda built about 648 AD by Emperor Gao Zong in memory of his deceased mother, then visit the Ancient City Wall.

 

Day 05: Xi’an (B.L)

 Sightseeing to the famous Terra-cotta Warriors, thousands of life-sized clay figures, and Huaqing Pool. Evening for Tang Dynasty Show(Optional).

 

Day 06: Luoyang (B)

Deluxe Tourist Train Xi’an/Luoyang, the capital for 9 dynasties, Excursion to the White Horse Temple founded in 28 AD, from which Buddhism swept across the whole China. overnight in Luoyang .

 

Day 07: Luoyang/Dengfeng /Zhengzhou (B.L)

 Visit Longmen Grottoes, containing over 10,000 stone figures and the biggest one is 17.14 meters high while the smallest one is only 2 centimeters.

After lunch take bus to Dengfeng City, pay a visit to the famous Shaolin Temple, the birthplace of real Chinese Kongfu and breath-taking Shaolin Kungfu Show. Arrive in Zhengzhou, the geographical center of China, also the center of ancient Chinese civilization.

 

Day 08: Zhengzhou/Shanghai (B)

Experience to old Chinese civilization in the state-level museum—Henan Museum. Take flight to Shanghai, a fast developing metropolis of China and nations. Tour to The Bund, enjoy Cruise on the Huangpu River, Shanghai’s famed waterfront area, is a collection of Art Deco and Neo-Gothic buildings, a reminder of the city’s European past. Overnight in Shanghai.

 

Day 09: Shanghai (B.L)

Visit the Jade Buddha Temple, a huge inclining jade Buddha, and Yu Garden. After noon visit TV Tower. In the evening enjoy Acrobatics show (optional).

 

Day 10:  Shanghai (B)

Transferred to airport for exit flight.
